Ive read on the DJI website that the Phantom 4 uses 2.4ghz ISM for the transmission of the video signal to the receiving device (Ipad/Iphone etc).
Does this mean that you can only receive the video signal if you are using the aircraft in an area that has active wifi or does it generate it own signal and transmit that? I.e. can I still use it out in a remote rural area where there is no mobile or wireless internet / wifi availability?
Cheers

Re: 2.4ghz ISM
All self contained mate.
That is the frequency transmitted from the drone to the controller to provide a 720p video for you to watch while doing your thing.
Your iPad will connect to the remote via a USB cable.
