UAV Controller Rates

Afternoon All,

Just enquiring about the average hourly rate $ for UAV Controllers / Pilots. I understand there are different levels of experience and type ratings and endorsements eg. VLOS, EVLOS, BVLOS, sub 7, sub 20 and of course hours on type and overall. Would appreciate any feedback any one can provide me on current industry standards.

A company providing training to an individual, providing the job, the aircraft, support equipment, transport, accommodation and admin support at present are paying a baseline controller $30-$50 an hour. I could cite some examples but that might upset some people, so generic it will stay.

Higher end Controllers, particularly those without the 'VLOS by Day' limitation (guys that can potentially take a UAV BVLOS) are able to command significantly more. $1000 a day would be a fair guess for such a Controller.
